Morena Corradi is Associate Professor at Queens College and at the Graduate Center of CUNY (City University of New York). Her main teaching and research areas are 19th and 20th century literature, the printing press in unified Italy, gothic and fantastic literature, nation building and education in late 19th century Italy. She has published articles and essays on 19th century literature, as well as the monograph Spettri d’Italia. Scenari del fantastico nella pubblicistica postunitaria milanese (Longo, 2016), focused on the role of the fantastic mode in the political and cultural discourse as presented by post-unification printed media. She is the co-editor, with Silvia Valisa, of La carta veloce. Figure, temi e politiche del giornalismo italiano dell’Ottocento (FrancoAngeli, 2021), a collection of essays devoted to 19th century journalism.
