Martina Piperno

Martina Piperno is a FWO Senior Postdoctoral fellow Fellowship at KU Leuven (Belgium) in the MDRN Research lab. She was awarded her PhD in Italian Studies at Warwick University in 2016 and after that she was a Visiting fellow at the Department of English and Drama at Queen Mary University of London, an Alberto Institute Visiting Fellow at Seton Hall University (NJ, USA), and a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellow at the Italian Department at University College Cork (Ireland). Her first book explores the legacy of Giambattista Vico in early 19thcentury Italian culture, and was published by the Voltaire Foundation at Oxford in 2018. Her research concerns the perception of time in Italian literature and theory from the 18th to the 20th centuries.
